What is the OEP?

Henry David Thoreau once said,

“As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness.”

We dedicate the Old Earth Project to finding simplicity. It was hard to decide what we were really looking for in the project. We have so many passions and so many ideas, but after sitting and thinking about it we realized that the one consistent point that everyone could relate to was simplicity. Nowadays people tend to over think, over complicate, and overwork; and the stress it causes is overwhelming. Simplify your body by keeping it natural and eating “true” healthy foods; simplify your mind by finding your own flow and going with it; simplify your environment by clearing out the clutter; simplify your heart and spirit by letting go of worries and stress. We will go into more details, but we hope you enjoy the new and improved Old Earth Project! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for weekly tips, recipes, stories, and events at https://www.facebook.com/OldEarthProject. We look forward to seeing you!

“In the West we have a tendency to be profit-oriented, where everything is measured according to the results and we get caught up in being more and more active to generate results. In the East — especially in India — I find that people are more content to just be, to just sit around under a banyan tree for half a day chatting to each other. We Westerners would probably call that wasting time. But there is value to it. Being with someone, listening without a clock and without anticipation of results, teaches us about love. The success of love is in the loving — it is not in the result of loving. ”
